Project Transformation

This was our Dallas missions oppurtunity. Wow! What a blessing these kids were I loved this week of our ministry camp as much as our other camp weeks. Reading to these kids in the Wesley Rankin building was so fun!!! We also played our rec games afterwards and some of these children spoke Spanish. Most adorable and exciting time to serve in this way.

OMC!

OMC is organized mass chaos...each Bible study participates in OMC as our final rec day. One goal is to have fun, and mind the 3 rules. Rule Number 1 Have fun! Rule Number 2 Don't run through the flyzone and Rule Number 3 Bring it back (any item used must be brought back to the flyzone.) Each Bible study is competing to collect the most tasks cards before the air horn blows. This picture was from our second OMC together at Jenness Park. The first one was at training week in Campbellsville KY.

Muir Beach
Golden Gate Bridge

So this is San Fransisco Trip (same day as Cara's birthday) Kyle did an excellent driving job in our twelve passenger van it's was always tricky to make U-turns in the city traffic and also impossible to make right turns when the streets are one-way. Kudos.
Muir Beach was very fun we enjoyed getting wet in the cold water and goofying around. I feel like we were there less than 45 mins...but of course I love just seeing the beach and feeling the sand on my feet.

06/06/08 Today our roadtrip from Albuquerque was short 6 hrs and then Dukes told us we were going to go to the Grand Canyon! Brandon brought his guitar and we sang praises to our God Creator of the Universe and we were talking about how little we are compared to His grace and love. His powerful words spoke the Grand Canyon and all of creation-what a powerful God we serve!!!! The words of the song read: “How Deep, how heigh, how long and how wide the Love of God…”I took some pictures with our camp Sony hopefully I will figure out to upload pictures via this blog spot?!
6-4-08 Today is first ROADTRIP! We have a “Budget” or the Ryder truck, we have a passenger van and a mini van. Our team unload our budget truck the other night and did a thorough inventory of all the camp gear. Another team work job some people got really excited for unloading and Dukes (director) helped us form an assembly line and help unload our gear within 50 mins and sorted the boxes in their correct groups: rec, store, audio, and office supplies. Then sorted accordingly for 3hrs, re-taped the boxes, and then with the help of CK4 and their helpful Gatorade we formed another assembly line to re-load the “Budget.”

06/02 Hi ya’ll! Many of the staff members here at training week and on my team have wonderful personalities and cute southern accents. Okay enough said what have I don’t at training in Campbellsville…the directors that have been working with us are excellent and are challenging us to be teachable and work together as a team and live lives of integrity this summer in our personal lives and always at camp. What a great challenge. There’s team building and team time these open opportunities of getting acquainted, getting support and trusting each other. There’s a worship time at night or other “parties that will help us as staff prepare (or visualize) for these camp activities. Altogether it is really busy and exciting to be part of camp and LifeWay’s ministeries so far. It’s exciting to meet my female staffers to Faith, Natalie, Brittany D., Brittany W (affectionately called “B-dubs”) and Cara they are so special pray for them too as we embark on a long trip to Jeness Park in Cali.
